the boneman

the boneman said he would take the blinded to a river.
with a mirror. and then what.

the boneman said he would take the blinded into a darkened room.
and put a hot-herb poultice on their sightless face.

then leave them there.

they would have been blue. the eyes. she did not have.
blue as the chicory in yonder ditch.

Digital Pinholes

Family Acceptance Project

This was an image I made for the Family Acceptance Project, a group based out of San Francisco State University. They have been examining the effects of acceptance/non-acceptance of a gay/transgender member of the family and applying it to metrics.
"Our research linked family responses with risk and protective factors for key concerns including sexual health, HIV infection, substance use, mental health and wellness."
Check them out.
